How literally tasting victory could make you a Champion

Want to know why World Champion tennis player Novak Djokavic eats the court grass when he plays at Wimbledon?

At 12, his coach would have him hold aloft a small trophy and declare:

“I’m Novak Djokovic. I won Wimbledon.”

But mere visualisation wasn’t enough for Novak.

He needed to bring the image to life.

To sense it.

Experience it.

Taste it, even.

So as a teenager he began eating grass before training to bolster his imagined experience of winning on those courts.

The more detail you can supply to your imagined experience of a desirable future, the more impact your mental rehearsal will have.

Resolving to win Wimbledon might get you to the final.

But literally tasting victory could make you a Champion.
